Jay Lindsey has pulled in nine college football offers after a dominant junior season on both sides of the football.
Lindsey is a sophomore at Patrician Academy in Butler, Alabama. He landed his first SEC offer earlier this month when Vanderbilt offered him. Mississippi State followed suit by offering him the next day. He has also earned offers from Troy, Arkansas State, Georgia Southern, Southern Miss, Southeast Missouri State, Liberty and Louisiana-Lafayette.
The 2024 recruit feels his recent success on the recruiting trail has been a blur, but he is enjoying it.
“It all happened pretty quickly after my highlight film was posted,” Lindsey told Touchdown Alabama. “It has been really exciting, and I am extremely grateful that the coaches are willing to give me a chance. Right now, I’m just taking it all in and enjoying the opportunities that I’m getting.”
Lindsey is listed at 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds. He is disruptive as an edge rusher on defense, and he is an all-around tight end on offense. Coaches like the way the junior plays the game.
“They were all really excited and liked that I played physical and fast,” Lindsey said.
Patrician Academy’s offense allows Lindsey to show off his versatile skillset. He is a physical and dominant blocker as a tight end. He also possesses a nice vertical, which allows him to go up and pull down contested catches. His strong frame makes him tough to bring down after the catch.
Lindsey said he feels blocking is a strength of his, but he also enjoys making plays on offense.
“I like to get my hands on the football but at the same time, blocking has always come first in the offense that we run, and I feel as if I do that very well,” Lindsey said.

Lindsey’s offer list is expected to grow here pretty soon, and if a look at his recent followers is any indication, the junior’s recruitment could blow up.
