Scott was a fan favorite during the four years he spent in Tuscaloosa, being selected First- team All- SEC in 2014 and 2016. He also won two national championships in 2015 and 2017.
In the 2018 NFL Draft Scott was selected in the fifth round by the Green Bay Packers, and earned the starting spot for the team’s first game of the season. Despite averaging 45 yards per punt, and 60 touchbacks from 2018-2020 in Green Bay, Scott was released by the team in 2021. The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Scott to their active roster deep into the 2021 season, but he only punted four times for them before being released. In 2022 the Los Angeles Chargers were in need of a punter and decided to sign Scott to fill the void. He shined with the team, earning AFC Special Teams Player of the Week in week 12 of the 2022 season. After leading the league in punter hang time and helping the Chargers average the lowest yards per punt return in the NFL, the team elected to re-sign him.
