Kamron Mikell gets ‘dream offer’ from Alabama football

Kamron Mikell

Kamron Mikell announced he received his dream offer from Alabama Monday.

Mikell attends Statesboro High School in Statesboro, Georgia. He garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites and holds more than 20 offers at the moment.

The Georgia product referred to Alabama as his ‘favorite school’ when he reported his offer from the Tide after talking with their tight ends coach Joe Cox on the phone.

“I  was very happy about the offer,” Mikell told Touchdown Alabama. “It made my night.”

Mikell previously had a top 14, which included Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Florida State and others.

Alabama will have a great opportunity to work its way into the mix of those programs based on Mikell’s thoughts on the Tide.

“They have been top tier for ages,” Mikell said. “They are arguably the best program around here.”

Mikell will be recruited as an explosive wide receiver by Alabama at 6-foot-2 and approximately 180 pounds. He has elite speed, which is verified by his 10.50 PR in the 100-meter dash. The new Alabama target is also a three-sport athlete for the Blue Devils.

Statesboro allowed Mikell to put his elusiveness and speed on display by allowing him to work his magic with the ball in his hands last season.
