CJ May is working his way towards a big recruitment in the future.
May is a sophomore at Highland Home High School in Alabama. He holds seven offers at the moment with offers from Arkansas, Penn State, Notre Dame, Troy, Tennessee, UAB and South Carolina. The future remains bright for May with the high ceiling he currently has with two full seasons of high school football in front of him.
The Highland Home product is thankful for the opportunities he has, but he realizes he must continue to do his part to achieve his dreams.
“It’s one of those thing all I can say is thank God for the opportunity he’s putting me in,” May told Touchdown Alabama. “All I got to do is attack his plans he has for me, and It’s just one of those dreams I’ve had as a kid. My hard work is paying off for me, and I just got to stay hungry.”
May feels his ability to defend the run and get after the quarterback in passing situations are among his biggest strengths as an edge-rusher at the moment.
“Being an elite pass rusher and being able to stop run consistently along with my technique help me be the player I am today,” May said “I am just getting stronger and working on my technique, daily.”
At 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, May has the length college coaches crave at the defensive end position. Equipped with a great first step, the sophomore can make plays behind the line of scrimmage with his explosiveness. He is also impressive in space and is effective at containing the edge.
