Alabama offers New York 4-Star ATH Josiah Brown

Josiah Brown

Josiah Brown reported an offer from Alabama Friday, continuing the growth of his recruitment.

Brown attends Holy Trinity High School in New York, and he is rated as a four-star athlete by multiple recruiting outlets. The junior holds 25 D1 offers, and he has Georgia, South Carolina, Miami, Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan and others among his top 12 at the moment.

Alabama’s offensive coordinator Tommy Rees informed Brown of his offer from the Crimson Tide.

“I was ecstatic,” Brown said. “I was happy they offered me. I have high thoughts on Alabama. Watching them while growing up was special. They are a great program.”

Rees discussed Brown’s ability to have an impact on the game when offering him.

“He talked about my elite playmaking ability the most,” said Brown.

The four-star athlete is looking to get to Tuscaloosa in a few months.

“I will be visiting sometime in the summer,” Brown told Touchdown Alabama.

The New York product is listed at 6-foot-1 and 173 pounds, and he has an opportunity to play wide receiver or defensive back at the next level, which is why he is considered an athlete prospect. As a wideout, Brown is a quick weapon with the ability to accelerate fairly quickly with the ball in his hands and when he is running routes. He flashes an impressive vertical as well. On defense, the four-star is a safety who can close the football quickly and protect over the top.
