A wide receiver he recruited in the 2022 signing class made him proud over the weekend.

Isaiah Bond, a sophomore, earned a distinguished academic award on Sunday’s Black Scholars Day on the University of Alabama campus. The event is sponsored by the Black Faculty and Staff Association. Bond, a native Georgian, received the Certificate for Academic Excellence. He carried a grade point average (GPA) between 3.6 and 3.79. The former four-star showcased his explosiveness and playmaking abilities in 2022 with 17 catches for 220 yards, including his first career collegiate touchdown.

Bond caught a 6-yard pass for a score versus Kansas State in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
He is looking to become more impactful this spring and in the fall.
