We are about to see part two of a Clemson Tiger and an Alabama Crimson Tide alum working together.

The Cleveland Browns have Deshaun Watson and Amari Cooper, but the Jacksonville Jaguars have paired Calvin Ridley with Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence, a former No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, made huge improvements as a sophomore under new head coach Doug Pederson. He set career highs for completion percentage (66.3), passing yards (4,113), passing touchdowns (25), and passer rating (95.2). Lawrence cut his interceptions from 17 as a rookie to eight last season and made the playoffs.

The addition of Ridley to the Jaguars’ offense has Lawrence ‘pumped’ for next season. Since his reinstatement to the league, Lawrence has made it a priority to build chemistry with Ridley. He told Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union that he is excited for offseason workouts to start. Lawrence described Ridley as a “good guy to have in the locker room.”

In his passionate open letter to The Players Tribune, Ridley vowed to give the Jaguars a 1,400-yard receiver.

Things are about to get exciting in Jacksonville.
