Downs was a five-star recruit and considered the No. 1 safety in he country during the 2023 recruiting cycle. He committed and sign with the Crimson Tide over Ohio State, Georgia and others. The Georgia product enrolled in January as an early enrollee.
After going through bowl prep practice with the Crimson Tide, Downs is getting looks at safety this spring.

Caleb Downs will be playing in Alabama's secondary heavily in the fall. Book it.
