Nick Saban believes all Alabama running backs can ‘contribute in some way’

Despite losing Jahmyr Gibbs who accounted for 1,370 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2022, Alabama football has no shortage of talent at the running back position returning to its team for the upcoming season.

The Crimson Tide will return senior running back Jase McClellan who totaled 829 yards and 10 touchdowns despite not being listed at the top of the depth chart in 2022. Roydell Williams and Jam Miller also return alongside five-star 2023 recruits Justice Haynes and Richard Young.

Haynes is participating in spring practice as an early enrollee, and Saban feels the Crimson Tide’s entire running back can be impactful during the 2023 football season

“It’s been great, I mean all guys have done well, all four guys have had really good springs they’re all very productive players. All those guys can contribute to the team in some ways”, said Nick Saban at Friday’s media availability. I mean doing really well as long as we can stay healthy at that position, I don’t think that’s an issue on our team.”
