Top Performers From The TDA Elite 7v7 Tournament

Jamar Moultrie

Touchdown Alabama teamed up with SouthernXpress for its first-ever TDA Elite 7v7 Tournament at Hoover High School in Alabama.

Some of the state’s bright young stars showed up Saturday and competed despite the rainy weather. YOG Select took home the 18U Championship after an impressive performance and Southern Xpress was named the 15U Champions.

Here is a look back at the top performers:

Jamar Moultrie – 2025 DB

Moultrie took home the 18U MVP Trophy after helping YOG Select secure the 18U Championship by making plays on both sides of the football. The Hoover sophomore is projected to jump onto the recruiting scene this spring as a full-time starter for the Bucs at cornerback. His burst, athleticism, speed and great hands made him exciting to watch throughout Saturday at wide receiver. However, his performance at defensive back is what sealed up his MVP performance. The 2025 recruit displayed almost perfect technique when playing corner in multiple different coverages. His speed allowed him to turn and run with any wideout. He also high-pointed the football and battled for it every time it was thrown his way. He pulled down multiple interceptions en route to MVP honors.

Jonah Winston – 2026 ATH

Winston lived up to the hype he has generated so far as a young prospect. His offer list already rivals some of the top prospects in his class with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Texas A&M others. He proved to be difficult to guard for most of the day Saturday at wide receiver, taking home the 15U MVP Award. The Hoover sophomore seems to be finding his home at wide receiver. He is an explosive prospect, who runs precise and crisp routes. He is quick in the open field with the ability to tie moves together after the catch. The future is extremely bright for Winston.

Je’Dan Gilbert – 2024 WR

Gilbert was one of the more passionate performers throughout the day. The 6-foot-3 wide receiver flashed his ability to stretch the field, but the most impressive part of his performance was his ability to make difficult catches in traffic. He appears to thrive in situations where he had to find a way to get the football in his hands. The Fairfield junior holds an offer from Morehouse College. His offer list should grow this spring and upcoming football season.

A’Mon Lane – 4-Star DB

It was not hard to point out the SEC commit when he was on the field as he looks the part with his muscular physique. Lane plays a physical brand of football and loves when he is able to put his hands on wide receivers. At times, he appeared to bully the competition. The Auburn commit was at his best when he was able to play man-to-man coverage on a wide receiver.

David McNeil – 2024 QB

The Central High School quarterback was one of the more impressive signal callers at the event. He looked comfortable when in the pocket, scanning the field, working through his progression and going through his reads. He was able to squeeze a few passes by defenders and delivered some throws where only his wideout could have gone and got it.

Santonio Jones – 2024 WR

Jones is a quick and explosive wide receiver for Pickens County High School. He flashed Saturday with his ability to create separation when running routes and making plays after the catch.

Deuce Oliver – 2024 WR

Oliver was another top route runner at the event. The Thompson junior is expected to be a major weapon in the Warriors’ offense this upcoming season.
