Alabama football’s senior running back, Roydell Williams discussed Monday what he has seen from the Crimson Tide’s freshman running back, Justice Haynes, during spring practice.

Williams returned to Alabama as one of it veteran running backs. He rushed for 250 yards and four touchdowns on 56 carries last season. The Hueytown native is expected to get his fair share of carries for the Crimson Tide this upcoming season.

Haynes is a freshman, whose name has come up a lot when discussing Alabama’s spring practice. Williams has seen Haynes’ attributes up close this spring.

“His speed, being able to catch out the backfield, great guy,” Williams said when asked about Haynes during his player media availability. “He learns well, came in ready to work. Overall, just a very, very smart kid, knows what he’s about, about his business and knows what to do.”

Haynes is one of the most accomplished running backs in Georgia high school football history. He finished his high school career with 7,758 rushing yards and 95 rushing touchdowns. The Alabama freshman is fourth all-time in the state of Georgia in rushing yards.

The Georgia native will get his first shot at impressing Alabama fans while wearing crimson and white at A-Day on April 22.
