Corian Gipson released his final five schools Wednesday and included Alabama.
Gipson attends Lancaster High School in Texas, and he is a four-star recruit in the 2024 recruiting class. Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, TCU and Texas make up Gipson’s final five.
The Crimson Tide offered the four-star in April of 2022. Gipson spoke highly of the Tide’s player development within the secondary after earning an offer from Alabama.
“They do a great job at developing defensive backs,” said Gipson. “They produce NFL-ready players all around the board, such as Trevon Diggs and Patrick Surtain. Some great guys have come out of Alabama. I love the way Alabama’s defensive backs are both patient but very physical in run support. Alabama is a special place. Hopefully, I can see if it is the right fit.”
Gipson checks all the boxes for what Nick Saban is looking for in a defensive back. He is long at 6-foot-1, and he has verified elite speed with a PR of 10.7 in the 100-meter dash. He also flashes physicality when making tackles in the open field.
