Nathaniel Frazier is one of the 2024 prospects, who is feeling the heat from Alabama football at the moment.
Frazier attends Mater Dei High School in California, and he is rated as a four-star recruit. The California product holds 26 offers, including offers from Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.
Frazier’s visit to Alabama Sunday will be his first since the Crimson Tide offered him in January. Multiple members of Alabama’s coaching staff are in contact with thefour-star, including Nick Saban.
“They have been recruiting me hard,” Frazier told Touchdown Alabama. “Contact has been good. I have been talking with coach G (Robert Gillespie) and coach Wiggins. It was good to get on the Phone Nick Saban. It was just a humbling experience.”
Alabama’s success at developing running backs during the Saban era is well documented, and Frazier respects it.
“You don’t really have to say much about it,” said Frazier. “They always have a back go high in the draft, and they continue to be great in the NFL. They got Jahmyr going this year. It speaks for itself.”
The Alabama target does not have a commitment date set, and he does not have a commitment timeline in mind.
“For me it is all going to be about timing,” Frazier said. “I want to when the moment feels right. I do not want to go too early or too late. I know some programs have their plans and all with some may take one or two backs, and they want a back to lock in so they can enroll early.”
At 5-foot-11 and approximately 190 pounds, Frazier is a prospect with sprinter speed. He currently holds a PR of 10.58 in the 100-meter dash. The Mater Dei running back ran the football with tenacity and with an explosive burst during the 2022 football season.
