Jordon Johnson-Rubell is in the process of looking at official visit dates with Alabama football and the Crimson Tide in mind after a weekend visit to Tuscaloosa.

Johnson-Rubell attends IMG Academy in Bradenton Florida, and he is rated as a four-star recruit by multiple recruiting sites. He currently has Alabama, Arizona State, Colorado, Florida State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, TCU, Texas, USC and Wisconsin in his top 12.

The IMG Academy product’s visit to Tuscaloosa over the weekend gave him and opportunity to talk with Nick Saban and Alabama’s cornerbacks coach.

“I watch the scrimmage and also the practice,” Johnson-Rubell told Touchdown Alabama. “I had a great conversation with coach Saban and coach T-Rob (Travaris Robinson) about how they see me as a versatile guy at Alabama like how they used Brian Branch and Minkah Fitzpatrick in the past.”

Alabama had its second scrimmage of the spring in Bryant-Denny Stadium with Johnson-Rubell in attendance. The four-star liked what he saw from Alabama’s secondary.

“It was very fast pace and intense,” Johnson-Rubell said. “Caleb Downs, Kool-Aid and Terrion Arnold made a lot of plays.”

The Tide are ‘definitely’ in the top five conversation for the junior after his visit.

At 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, Johnson-Rubell is expected to line up at safety at the next level. He shines for IMG Academy when he is able to make plays all over the field while roaming the secondary.
