Alabama’s second scrimmage opened more eyes to what the identity of this year’s team may be.
Nick Saban mentioned good plays and bad ones from the quarterbacks, but several players stepped up.
Justice Haynes, a five-star freshman running back, continues getting a lot of conversation. He’s produced strong outings in two game-like practices at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The offensive and defensive lines are playing with more physicality while the secondary is starting to round into form. Trezmen Marshall, a transfer from Georgia, may become the starting middle linebacker.
On Monday, Stephen Smith of Touchdown Alabama Magazine discussed Haynes and other standouts from the Crimson Tide’s second scrimmage via In My Own Words. Alabama has its annual A-Day game on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.
You can watch In My Own Words every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6:30 p.m. CT on TDA’s YouTube channel.
