Cayden Jones is set to announce his commitment Friday, and Alabama football is one of the programs in the running for his services.
Jones attends Christ School in North Carolina, and he is a consensus four-star recruit. He holds 22 D1 offers, including offers from Alabama, Notre Dame and USC.
The Crimson Tide offered Jones in January during a visit to Tuscaloosa. He returned to UA last weekend to visit the Tide ahead of his decision. He spoke highly of Alabama’s standards after his visit.
“I think the way everyone holds themselves to their standard is what makes Alabama, Alabama,” Jones told Touchdown Alabama.
Jones is a hybrid linebacker at 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds. He has experience rushing from the edge and playing off the ball. The North Carolina product shines the brightest when he plays in space and when he is in coverage.
