AJ McCarron is putting on a show in Saturday’s XFL game between the St. Louis Battlehawks and Orlando Guardians.

McCarron has the Battlehawks well on its way to a 7-3 record. As a former Alabama quarterback, he is tearing up the Guardians’ secondary with five touchdown passes. He has completed 23 of 29 passes for 354 yards. McCarron has been accurate all game, finding Hakeem Butler, Darrius Shepherd, Steven Mitchell, and Jake Sutherland for touchdowns. He hooked up with Butler for two scores. The connection between McCarron and Butler has the receiver with nine catches for a game-high 164 receiving yards.

He won three BCS National Championships at Alabama — including two as a starter — but McCarron continues to show his dominance on the XFL. He is having fun with the game again, and the fans of St. Louis are loving it.

The Battlehawks have a 45-28 lead over the Guardians in the fourth quarter.
