5-Star QB Julian Sayin ‘can’t wait’ to play with playmakers Alabama has committed

Alabama football’s 2024 quarterback commit, Julian Sayin returned to Tuscaloosa Saturday for A-Day, and he is excited to officially call Alabama home in the future.

Sayin resides in California, but it has not stopped him from taking two trips to Tuscaloosa in less than a span of a month.

The five-star recruit returned to Tuscaloosa to experience the Crimson Tide’s spring game Saturday.

“It was pretty sweet,” Sayin said. “I had a good time.”

Alabama quarterbacks are currently involved in a tight battle to be QB1. Sayin understands Alabama’s offense was basic Saturday by design, but he liked the rhythm the Tide’s offenses showed as a whole.

“It was pretty vanilla because it is just the spring game, but I thought the offensive line and running backs looked really good,” said Sayin. “Receivers and quarterbacks played well too.”

Alabama has commitments from two 2024 wide receivers in Perry Thompson and Rico Scott. Ryan Williams, who is arguably the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class, is also committed to Alabama. Sayin is looking forward to creating big plays with all of them in the future.

“They are all superstar playmakers with the ball in their hands,” Sayin said. “I can’t wait to be throwing them passes in Bryant Denny.”

The California product finished his junior campaign with 2,708 passing yards and 27 passing touchdowns while completing 66 percent of his passes. He displayed great pocket awareness while having great accuracy and touch on his deep ball. Sayin also showed he can make all the throws by ripping the ball in while throwing short to medium throws.
