Nick Saban has his fourth player selected in this year’s NFL Draft.
Brian Branch, a former Crimson Tide defensive back, is off the board to the Detroit Lions.
After a stellar junior season in 2022, the versatile defender is now on an NFL team. As a former four-star from Georgia, Branch gives the team an elite tackler, a guy that can blitz on edge, and someone who is a natural playmaker. He collected 90 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, three sacks, seven pass breakups, and two interceptions last year. The 6-foot, 193-pounder helped the Tide to a College Football Playoff National Championship as a freshman (2020) and two SEC Championships in 2020 and 2021.
