Nick Saban has produced 44 first-round draft picks at the University of Alabama since 2009.
The latest three came Thursday night as Bryce Young, Will Anderson, and Jahmyr Gibbs came off the board.
Young became the first No. 1 overall selected for the Crimson Tide in the common draft era since Joe Namath in 1965. He also became the first No. 1 overall selection in the common draft era for Saban. Anderson went No. 3 overall to the Houston Texans and Gibbs went 12th overall to the Detroit Lions. After round one, Marlon Humphrey sent a strong message to recruits on social media about Alabama’s dominance in the NFL Draft. Humphrey, an Alabama alum, got taken in the first round of the 2017 draft.
I hope you recruits are watching this draft so far…it’s all about BAMA..! #RollTide
