Louisiana transfer DB Trey Amos reports offer from Alabama

Trey Amos reported an offer from Alabama football Monday.

Amos, who entered the transfer portal Monday, stated he has two years of eligibility remaining. The Crimson Tide offered him soon after he hit the portal as he listed an offer from the Tide less than an hour after announcing he was transferring from Louisiana-Lafayette.

The Louisiana native was a three-star recruit in the 2020 recruiting class. At 6-foot-1 and 189 pounds, Amos finished last season with 36 total tackles and eight pass deflections.

Alabama football is making it clear it wants to add depth to its secondary. UAB transfer, Jaylen Key, is another portal defensive back target for the Tide.

The Crimson Tide lost two defensive backs to the portal during spring practice.
