Winston attends Calhoun High School in Georgia, and he garners a four-star rating at the moment from multiple recruiting sites. A total of 33 D1 programs have offered Winston.
The sophomore could not find the words to say when he found out Alabama offered him.
“My coach told me, and I was at a loss for words,” Winston told Touchdown Alabama. “It’s Alabama, not much I can really say. The whole world knows.”
Alabama football’s head coach Nick Saban has met Winston in the past, and the veteran coach’s honesty was clear to the Georgia product.
“I’ve talked to him face to face,” said Winston. “He is as real as it gets.”
The 2025 recruit is listed at 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds on Calhoun High School’s MaxPreps roster. He feels his catching ability and explosiveness are some of the strengths of his game. He is a physical tight end, who has experience blocking as an H-Back and while being attached to the offensive line.
When lined up out wide at wide receiver, Winston flashes a quick burst when he comes off the line of scrimmage.
