Former Alabama DB weighs in on DeVonta Smith’s top receiver list

After seeing a couple of his former teammates chime in, DeVonta Smith had a former Alabama defensive back weigh in on his top five all-time wide receivers list for the Crimson Tide.

Will Lowery, a former walk-on safety, played from 2008 to 2011.

He was on two BCS National Championship teams in 2009 and 2011. Lowery had 20 tackles and two pass breakups in 2011. He appreciated the humility Smith took with his list. Lowery played with Julio Jones, but he understands why Smith went the route he did with his list. 

A lot of players paved the way for Smith, but he responded by becoming the first Tide receiver to win the Heisman Trophy.
