Cole is a 2024 linebacker out of Salem High School in Virginia, who holds more than 20 offers, including offers from Georgia, Notre Dame and Penn State. The Virginia product currently garners a three-star rating from multiple recruiting sites.
Alabama’s linebacker coach Robert Bala informed Cole of his offer from the Crimson Tide during his Monday visit.
“My initial feelings were shock and excitement,” Cole told Touchdown Alabama. “It’s a blessing to have the opportunity to play for such a historically elite program. When offered by a program like Bama, it changes your whole recruitment. They are a program that is known for developing players that go on to play in the NFL.”
Cole’s visit to Alabama was a success, and he is looking forward to getting back to Tuscaloosa.
“The visit was great,” Cole said. “I had the opportunity to tour the campus and facilities. I also had the opportunity to build with coach Bala. I am definitely looking forward to coming back and possibly scheduling an official visit”
Cole is listed at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds. He is the type of smooth, fluid and athletic hybrid linebacker the Crimson Tide are prioritizing at the moment. He can play sideline to sideline, effectively drops back in coverage, has good closing speed and can make tackles in open space.
