Eric Karner named his top five schools Thursday via Twitter.
Karner attends IC Catholic Prep in Illinois. He is listed as a three-star recruit on multiple recruiting sites. The former Purdue commit has Alabama, Iowa, Florida, Michigan State and Texas A&M listed in his top five.

The Crimson Tide offered Karner during his visit to Tuscaloosa last month. He stated he feels he will be developed if he goes to Alabama after his visit.
“My overall thoughts would just be that they are a machine,” Karner told Touchdown Alabama. “All they do is produce, and they can develop me.”
The 6-foot-5, 205-pounder lines up as an in-line tight end at times and out wide. He made plays at both spots last season. He also proved to be a physical blocker in space.
