Alabama fans are getting excited for week one of the NFL season.

One of the biggest matchups to headline the new campaign will be the New England Patriots versus the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Patriots will be honoring Tom Brady while hoping Mac Jones is the quarterback to return it to winning Super Bowls.

Jones will go head-to-head against his former Alabama teammate, Jalen Hurts. Hurts led the Eagles to Super Bowl LVII in his third season in the league. He outplayed Patrick Mahomes in the matchup, but Kansas City found a way to earn a 38-35 victory over the Eagles. Hurts earned a hefty payday in the offseason, becoming a $255 million quarterback for five seasons. He’s pleased with the paycheck, but he wants a Super Bowl ring. After a strong rookie season, Jones struggled last year. New England had non-offensive minds running the offense and Jones was frustrated. Bill Belichick has Bill O’Brien back to help Jones resurge.

Both quarterbacks won at least one national championship for the Crimson Tide.

The matchup is scheduled for Sept. 10 between the Eagles and Patriots.
