Alabama football had four players taken in the third round of the NFL Draft.
Two of them put in work at their respective rookie minicamps this weekend. Cameron Latu got selected at No. 101 by the San Francisco 49ers while Byron Young went at No. 70 to the Las Vegas Raiders. Both guys helped the Crimson Tide to a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2020 and two Southeastern Conference Championships in 2020 and 2021.

Latu, a former tight end for the Tide, had 56 catches for 787 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. He tied for second on the team in touchdown receptions (eight) in 2021. Latu has a chance to learn under George Kittle and become a great player in the pros.

Young, a former defensive end, had 48 tackles in 2022. He posted 5.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, six quarterback hurries, two pass breakups, and a forced fumble. The Raiders like the potential he has in eating space and being a force as a defensive tackle.

It will be great to watch both succeed in the league.
