JC Latham named a top 10 returning offensive tackle in college football by Pro Football Focus

JC Latham was named one of college football’s top 10 returning offensive tackles by Pro Football Focus.

Latham is entering his junior season for the Crimson Tide. He is a former five-star recruit out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. PFF has the Crimson Tide’s offensive lineman ranked at No. 3. Notre Dame’s Jolt Alt is listed at No. 1, and he is followed by Duke’s Graham Burton at No. 2.

“He was an elite pass protector as a sophomore at right tackle this season,” Max Chadwick wrote. “His 84.5 pass-blocking grade on true pass sets ranked fourth among all tackles in the country. On 486 pass-blocking snaps, Latham didn’t allow a sack and only gave up one hit. He only earned a 70.9 run-blocking grade, but it’s his pass protection chops that could challenge Alt for OT1 in the 2024 NFL Draft.”

Alabama football will look to lean on Latham as a leader this upcoming season.
