How does Alabama’s quarterback race look heading into summer?

Some are okay with waiting until fall camp, but others are concerned about the quarterback race at Alabama.

The Crimson Tide has five signal-callers on its roster.

It entered spring practice with four names — Jalen Milroe, Ty Simpson, Dylan Lonergan, and Eli Holstein — but a fifth name got added. Nick Saban felt more competition was needed so he pulled Tyler Buchner of Notre Dame from the NCAA transfer portal. 

Many fans did not understand the move, but you have those who trust Saban’s judgment. Lonergan, a true freshman, had the best statistical performance from the spring game. However, all four guys did good things at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

A breakdown is below of how the quarterback race looks heading into the summer.

Jalen Milroe is a physically gifted athlete.

He has shown some improvement in the passing game, including two touchdown passes during A-Day.
