Alabama football will welcome three new players to its team from the transfer portal this weekend.
The Crimson Tide pulled three players from the portal after spring practice wrapped up. Tyler Buchner, Jaylen Key and Trey Amos chose to bring their talents to Tuscaloosa after departing from their respective former schools and entering the transfer portal.

Buchner has played in 13 college football games. The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder played in ten games as a freshman in 2021, totaling six touchdowns and 634 yards. He started the first two games of last season for the Fighting Irish before suffering an injury. The California product returned to play in the Taxslayer Gator Bowl versus South Carolina, and he led Notre Dame to victory while throwing for 274 passing yards and five touchdowns.
Key finished the 2022 football season at safety with 60 tackles, three interceptions, 4.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles at safety as a redshirt junior.
At 6-foot-1 and 189 pounds, Amos finished last season with 36 total tackles and eight pass deflections.
Alabama football’s true freshman summer enrollees will also make their way to Tuscaloosa this weekend.
