As a University of Alabama alumnus, Young has impressed head coach Frank Reich and his staff at Carolina with his processing abilities. He finished his college career second all-time for passing yards (8,356), passing touchdowns (80), and total touchdowns (87). Young, a California native, became the first quarterback in Crimson Tide history to win the Heisman Memorial Trophy.

Panther fans are so excited about him that a podcast site for the team predicted his rookie numbers for the fall.

Panthers On Tap have Young with 4,547 passing yards and 27 touchdowns to 13 interceptions. Some fans have him throwing less than ten interceptions and others have him under 4,000 yards, but Panthers on Tap see him making the Pro Bowl as a rookie.

We will see if Young can pull it off.
