The Alabama native chose to commit to the Crimson Tide over Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Oregon because he had a vision about playing for the Tide.
“I just saw it,” Rogers said. “I mean ever since I visited that place, I just fell in love with it from then and now. I just feel like it was just time to make the decision.”
Alabama football has developed the running back position at a high level during the Nick Saban era. Two of the last three Alabama running backs, who were selected in the NFL Draft went in the first round. Rogers said he feels Alabama’s running back production played a role in his decision.
“It played a big factor because it shows me that they know how to use different types of running backs,” Rogers told Touchdown Alabama. “They have a long line of backs that can do different things and have different types of playing styles, and they got a great legacy of that. I want to continue that.”
The 5-foot-8, 185-pounder rushed for 2,151 yards and 27 touchdowns during ten games as a sophomore.
