Myles Johnson saw the landscape of his recruitment change within a day by picking up an offer from Alabama.
Johnson arrived in Tuscaloosa Thursday morning with no star rating. He did not even have a recruiting profile on any recruiting site. He did hold offers from Tuskegee and Liberty but no power five program had jumped on the 2025 recruit. Nick Saban and Alabama’s staff made sure that was no longer the case after watching the 6-foot-1, 220-pounder camp.
“It was honestly so surreal,” Johnson told Touchdown Alabama. “I came to camp without any stars. To be offered by a program like this is really a blessing, and I just thank God every day for putting me in this position. I also want to thank the coaching staff at Alabama and everyone at home for believing in me. It is truly a blessing.”

Johnson attends T.R. Miller High School in Brewton, Alabama. The in-state prospect is familiar with the Alabama football program and respects its winning tradition.
“The program creates winners, not only on the field but also off it,” said Johnson. “You obviously see the quality of football players they produce over the years, but the program teaches you how to be a winner in life.”
The T.R. Miller product could see himself getting recruited on both sides of the football in the future. The Tide like his potential at linebacker with his physical and fast playing style.
“I worked with the inside linebackers at camp Thursday,” Johnson said. “I play both sides of the ball on Friday Nights, but as I progress as a player, they think I would have a higher ceiling on the defensive side of the ball.”
