Tyler Atkinson reported an offer from Alabama after visiting and working out at the University of Alabama.

Atkinson is a rising sophomore out of Grayson High School in Georgia. The 2026 recruit holds an impressive list of 37 offers with offers from Georgia, Ohio State, LSU and others.

Alabama offered Atkinson after watching him work out. Nick Saban delivered the good news.
“I was offered by Coach Saban, and the initial feeling was incredible,” Atkinson told Touchdown Alabama. “I am honored to be the first edge Alabama offered for 2026. I love the challenge that Alabama presents and the work ethic of the program.”

The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder physically looks the part of a future power five linebacker. He moves well in space when playing off-the-ball at linebacker, but he can make plays when playing off the edge. He has impressive speed and can close on the football fast.
