Fans of the Miami Dolphins are trying to do two things at one time.
They are mourning the death of Eric Carmona, a passionate fan of Tua Tagovailoa and creator of TuAnon.

Tagovailoa donated $10,000 to Carmona’s family in this tragic time. Miami fans are also trying to rid themselves of comments from media pundit, Chris Simms. Simms, a former quarterback, is an NFL analyst for NBC Sports. He is a co-host for Pro Football Talk Live with Mike Florio and had comments about Tagovailoa’s donation to Carmona’s family.
Florio chose to do the right thing by trying to diffuse the situation is stating how it is better to be trolled than ignored — since Simms brought up Carmona being mean to him — but Simms did not take Florio’s road. He started by acknowledging the tragedy to Carmona and commending Tagovailoa for the donation; however, he flipped it to how Carmona was negative to him and now his family is getting donated money in his tragic passing. Florio did not want the situation to get that far, unfortunately, it did.
Here is the full context of Simms’ comments, and it’s not better.
He starts by saying it’s a nice gesture and a horrible thing, but then immediately goes into “he trolled me a lot.” Florio then goes into saying it’s better to be trolled than ignored because people are… https://t.co/N3VIWtZB3U pic.twitter.com/AB3UrH8GzU

Dolphins fans were pleased with Florio’s donation, but they are lamenting Simms’ comments.
Whatever you thought about the TuAnon and him trolling you, this wasn’t the time. A tragedy happened and certain people shouldn’t try to play the victim card especially when they troll a fan base constantly. Just was out of line to put it mildly

Wow, @CSimmsQB feelings were hurt because Tuanon trolled him a bit? Way too sensitive for a guy who himself failed miserably at being a QB but now critiques QB’S for a living don’t you think?

Oh boy…
Chris Simms is one of the most outlandishly negative people on Tua and
the Fins! 🐬Eric was positively reenforcing his belief in Tua against those who hated for lack of knowledge.
Dealing with these Tua haters is like talking to a wall that believes it’s a genius

@NBCSports this is how @CSimmsQB pays his respects to a grieving family….

This does nothing but make me root for Tua even more. Chris Simms can’t take criticism. Ew this is disgusting. Hate it for this Dolphins family. Tua is a class act.

@CSimmsQB should be ashamed of himself. Twitter shit ain’t real life. A man died and left children behind. Why can people on the internet separate that easier than the guy PAID to talk about sports?it’s a joke

People are giving money not to “a guy who was very negative” but to a man who passed away but had an impact on many people’s lives including the Phins fanbase with his part in Tuanon and online engagement. Show some respect, the man ain’t alive to receive any of these blessings.

Carmona was one of the few people that believed in Tagovailoa when the Dolphins drafted him in 2020.
