We are keeping an eye on whether DeAndre Hopkins chooses to sign with the New England Patriots as a free agent, but could Mac Jones possibly get another former Alabama standout as a new teammate?

Jordan Schultz, an NFL Insider for The Score, reported Monday that D.J. Fluker worked out for the Patriots.
As I reported earlier, OL DJ Fluker is working out for the #Patriots this morning. Fluker has changed his entire diet en route to dropping over 40 pounds. He’s in tremendous shape and excited about making his return to the NFL. @theScore pic.twitter.com/zTaergscrm

Fluker, a former Crimson Tide offensive tackle, is trying to get back into the National Football League.

He looks incredible after dropping over 40 pounds and wants to prove he can excel in the league. Fluker’s most recent pro opportunity was in 2021 on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad; however, he is a former first-round pick of the 2013 NFL Draft. He helped the Tide to three BCS National Championships and two Southeastern Conference Championships.
If the Patriots get Fluker, Jones would have massive protection.
