Training camp is set for the Carolina Panthers with minicamps and organized team activities in the books.
Bryce Young, the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, moved to the starting quarterback role in OTAs and mandatory minicamp for the Panthers under head coach Frank Reich. He impressed coaches and teammates with his confidence and performance in practice. Reich wants to get Young as many first-team reps as possible to prepare him for Carolina’s season opener in the fall.

Young will report to training camp with the rest of the rookie class on July 22.
The first practice of training camp starts Wednesday, July 26, at 10:15 a.m. Carolina will have two days of joint practices against the New York Jets and quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Wednesday, Aug. 9 and Thursday, Aug. 10.

Young will have an opportunity to go head-to-head against one of the best in Rodgers.
