Nick Saban once again raised some questions regarding the College Football Playoff’s selection committee during an appearance on the Joel Klatt Show on Monday.

When discussing parity in college football, Saban provided his thoughts on the current selection process and whether it is picking the four best teams for the playoffs.

“But the problem with the way the whole system is, there’s no accounting for (parity), right,” Saban said. “So, all we do is take the teams that win the most games at the end of the year, put them in the playoffs. But do you really get the best teams? When they told me that we would be favored against three out of the four teams that got in the playoff, I’m like, why aren’t we in the playoffs?”

Last season Alabama dropped two road games against Tennessee and LSU with both losses coming on the final play of the game. TCU was the fourth team to make the playoff ahead of the Crimson Tide and after defeating Michigan lost to Georgia in the national championship 65-7.
