Nick Saban informed Bachmeier of his offer from the Crimson Tide.
“I was actually down in Tuscaloosa, visiting and got to sit down with coach Saban,” Bachmeier told Touchdown Alabama. “That’s when I found out. It was a very surreal and memorable moment for me.”
The California product went on to give his thoughts on the Alabama football program.
“It is a very historical and dominant program,” Bachmeier said. “I love the thought of coming in, winning games and competing for a National Championship.”
Bachmeier finished the 2022 football season with 2,853 passing yards, 26 passing touchdowns, 644 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns. He made some impressive throws throughout the year with his quick release and accuracy down the field. Alabama’s coaching staff is impressed with both his arm and athleticism.
“Coach Saban and coach Rees said they liked my quick release and my decision-making,” said Bachmeier. “They also like my ability to run the ball.”
