James Simon reported an offer from Alabama after camping in Tuscaloosa Saturday.

Simon attends Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana, and he holds more than 15 offers. The Louisiana product’s Alabama offer comes from Nick Saban.
The Alabama head coach talked with Simon after camp.
“I went to coach Saban’s office, and he told me I was offered,” Simon told Touchdown Alabama. “It was exciting, and I was super thankful for the opportunity. I think they do a great job with developing and getting players ready for the next level.”
Catching up with Saban Saturday was a big moments for Simon.
“He is one of if not the greatest college football coaches ever and meeting him was great,” said Simon.
Simon feels Alabama is ‘one of the best in the country at’ developing running backs, so Alabama’s staff telling him they were impressed with multiple parts of his game meant a lot.

“They like my size and quickness, and ability to change direction, they like that a lot,” Simon said.
At 5-foot-11 and 198 pounds, Simon finished the 2022 football season with more than 1,000 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns on 138 carries at 15 years old.
