Receiving Alabama offer ‘meant a lot’ to 4-Star LB Marco Jones

Marco Jones left the campus of the University of Alabama with an offer from the Crimson Tide after impressing at camp.

Jones attends San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, California, and he garners a four-star rating at the moment. Alabama becomes the 17th D1 program to offer the 2025 prospect.

Jones’ Alabama offer came from Alabama’s inside linebacker coach Robert Bala.

“I found out first about my offer when I talked to coach Bala after the camp,” Jones said. “My first feeling when I was told was extremely excited. Alabama is a very big football school, and you can’t get much better than them, so it meant a lot.”

The California product went on to speak highly about Alabama’s player development.

“My overall thoughts are that they are a great program with a great coaching staff that also develops players differently than anywhere else,” said Jones.

Marco stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs approximately 215 pounds. He is a long and athletic linebacker prospect, who will have an opportunity to be a versatile linebacker at the collegiate level. Alabama is in love with his game as a whole.

“Coach said that they love everything about my game, all the way from the mental side to the physical side,” Jones told Touchdown Alabama. “They want me to keep getting stronger.”
