Depth took a small hit for Alabama’s defensive line.
The Crimson Tide will not have Jamil Burroughs in the fall as the redshirt junior entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Burroughs, a native Georgian, came as a four-star in the 2020 class. He helped Alabama to a Southeastern Conference Championship and a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2020. Tide fans had high hopes for Burroughs, but he has to prove himself elsewhere. Alabama has several returning players that can excel as a defensive end, including Justin Eboigbe, Tim Smith, Jah-Marien Latham, Damon Payne, Jr., Khurtiss Perry, and Monkell Goodwine. Eboigbe, a native Georgian, is back for his fifth season and brings much experience. Smith, Latham, Payne, Perry, and Goodwine all have the talent, and Freddie Roach will get the most out of them. It will be fun to see who ultimately replaces Burroughs as a defensive end for the Tide.
Jaheim Oatis should command the most attention at tackle, but any of the guys above can make an impact as an end.

The Tide has a rotation and needs to go to it more with Burroughs out.
