The Alabama Crimson Tide came in at No. 5, following Michigan at No. 1, Ohio State at No. 2, Penn State at No. 3 and Georgia at No. 4. Ole Miss, Arkansas, Oregon, Florida State and Wisconsin rounded out the top ten.
The Tide returns Jase McClellan, Roydell Williams ad Jam Miller to its backfield. The Tide also welcomes two five-star freshmen in Justice Haynes and Richard Young.
McClellan rushed for 655 yards and seven touchdowns on 112 carries through 13 games last season. Williams finished last year with four rushing touchdowns and 250 rushing yards. Miller saw limited action last season but showed promise as a physical back.
