Davis, who attended the University of Alabama, decided to go on the defensive side of the football when choosing his favorite Alabama football player of all time and chose Derrick Thomas.

Thomas had a historical career at Alabama as he still holds the college football record for most sacks in a single season with 27. He finished his career with 52 sacks, 68 tackles for loss and five blocked kicks before being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs as the fourth overall pick in the 1989 NFL Draft.
