Former Alabama and current Washington Commander defensive lineman, Daron Payne will get his high school football jersey retired later this month.
Shades Valley High School announced via Twitter the No. 94 jersey will be retired on July 21 during a celebration in its gymnasium. Payne graduated from Shades Valley before attending the University of Alabama and going on to star in the NFL.

Payne was selected as the 13th overall pick by Washington in 2018 after a stellar career with the Crimson Tide. He finished his career at Alabama with 102 total tackles, three sacks and one interception.
