Former Alabama and current Detroit Lions running back, Jahmyr Gibbs will have his high school football jersey retired this Fall.
Dalton High School is expected to retire Gibbs’ No. 1 jersey this fall, according to The Dalton Daily Sports Editor Daniel Mayes and Dalton High School’s head football coach Kit Carpenter.
One of Dalton's best will be immortalized at Harmon Field during his first season in the NFL.

The Georgia product played one year at the University of Alabama after transferring from Georgia Tech. He finished the 2022 football season with 632 rushing yards, 350 receiving yards, three receiving touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns.
The Lions selected Gibbs as the 12th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
