Jimbo Fisher speaks glowingly about Jalen Milroe at SEC Media Days

Jalen Milroe takes off running against Texas A&M

Texas A&M’s head football coach Jimbo Fisher had some good things to say about Jalen Milroe at SEC Media Days.

Milroe is a native of Katy High School in Texas. He is one of the quarterbacks involved in Alabama football’s quarterback competition. The Aggies are quite familiar with Milroe.

The Texas native started against Texas A&M last season when Bryce Young was injured, and led the Crimson Tide to a victory. Fisher talked Monday about Milroe as a recruit and how he played against them last season.

“He came to camp, he was from Houston… Tremendous athlete,” Fisher said. “Great arm strength. Leader. Fighter… A competitor. A tough guy that’s going to throw the football and beat you in a lot of different ways… He’s a heck of a player… I couldn’t imagine having a lot of finer athletes than him on the team than he is and what he does. We played him last year, he made great decisions against us. [He] tucked the ball a couple times and made some huge runs and made the throws at the right time. He’s a very good player for them.”
