The media picked the Crimson Tide to win the SEC Western Division and face Georgia, the predicted SEC Eastern winner, in the conference championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Reporters have Kirby Smart earning his second victory over Nick Saban, and the Bulldogs capturing a Southeastern Conference Championship over the Tide. JC Latham, Dallas Turner, and Kool-Aid McKinstry represented Alabama with Saban in Nashville, Tenn. Latham, a junior offensive tackle, told the media the Tide will go undefeated and win the national championship. He said if Alabama was not picked to win the SEC, it adds more fuel to the fire.
More fuel has been added as Georgia (181 points) is predicted to win the SEC. Alabama came in second with 62 points.
