Dallas Turner made his expectations for Alabama clear during SEC Media Days last week.
Following an 11-2 season which has been considered a disappointment by the lofty standards of the program set by Nick Saban, Turner is looking to get things back on track on the defensive side of the ball and emphasized his point with one of the most popular phrases of the fanbase.
“The expectations, Joyless Murderball, pre-season, of course,” Turner said to the media in Nashville. “There’s a lot of guys on the defense that can run around, fly around, make good plays.”
The term Joyless Murderball originated online as a description of how Alabama goes about its business on the field.
It’s also a representation of Alabama’s elite teams of the past which is what Turner and company hope to get back to this fall.
