He was one of the most athletic quarterbacks in the National Football League for six years, but could Colin Kaepernick be making a return to the game?

Kaepernick, a former second-round pick of the 2011 draft, has been working out.

He has had several former Alabama players catching passes from him in workouts, and the former quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers looks good. Jaylen Waddle, Najee Harris, and Derrick Henry worked out with Kaepernick at the Nike World Headquarters in Oregon. All three ran routes and caught passes from Kaepernick. Henry and Waddle are two of the best players at their positions in the league. Both enjoyed working out with Kaepernick and feel he deserves a chance back in the NFL.

Waddle said Kaepernick has a ‘real rocket for an arm.’

“He has really good ball placement,” he said. “Hey, it is easy when you got a quarterback that has been through it, and he makes it easy for us.”

Henry said it was ‘good work’ being out there with Kaepernick.

“Kap was throwing darts,” he said. “The receivers looked smooth, so today was a great day.”

Kaepernick, 35, has been out of the league since 2017. The alums of Alabama football look to see him make a return.
